During the holidays I was traveling with my family, and during those travels we made many stops at the nearest Walgreens. We went for one or two things and ended up buying a bunch of random things we had no need for. However, out of those random things I was lucky to find two amazing face masks! My skin wasn't feeling too great and decided to give these masks a try because it's important to #Treatyoself.
The face masks I tried are the Miss Spa Facial Sheet Masks, and the ones I bought were the detox and age defying kind. This product is priced differently at every Walgreens, but I bought this for about $2 each. They can also be found at Target for $2.99. These masks are not tested on animals and are free of any paraben, artificial dye and sulfates. One of my favorite things about this product was not only the mask itself but also the instructions. They were so creative that I had to share them with you--->

1. Unfold mask and remove paper backing. Don't be scared-it will look lovely on you.

2. Pat mask onto clean, dry skin, gently pressing edges until it fully adheres to your pretty face.

3. Turn off the phone and close your eyes for 20 minutes. Daydream about being a queen.

4. Remove mask and gently pat remaining solution into skin.

The instructions actually made me really excited to try the product and also made me feel pretty good about myself. Now that's what I call good marketing!

Sometimes facial sheet masks are hard to pull apart before applying because they end up ripping. This product, however, was very easy to open and apply. I have very oily skin and I felt the face mask left my skin feeling pretty matte. It was also cooling and very relaxing. Overall I think this product is worth the $2-$3 spent on it. The only other face masks I really use are the Sephora brand ones that are priced at about $6 and they leave my skin feeling about the same. So the Miss Spa Facial Sheets are definitely worth it in my opinion. If you do like to Treat yo self, then I would definitely recommend this face mask. They have a variety of face masks including exfoliating, brightening, energizing and more. In the end, it's all about what you personally like and what products best suit your skin. It feels like just yesterday that I was in middle school thinking about my future college life. Time really does fly and I cannot believe I have already completed my first semester of college!! It is also very convenient that I am what I like to call "dorming at home". Thankfully I don't have to pay for laundry, a meal plan, housing, plus I get home cooked meals and the best part is I get to still see my cats every day. I don't like to admit it to my parents but living at home is quite nice. I have always wanted to go to a college in California. I regularly used to tell myself that I would NEVER go to UW-Milwaukee because "it's not me". However, I realized that UWM is an amazing school and very underrated. I was also lucky to have one of my best friends Hailey with me every day. We were thrilled to know we could have lunch together every single day and have become even closer this past semester. I was very afraid that as a commuter I wouldn't make any friends. In the beginning it was difficult but getting involved in school activities helped a lot.
Although I commute to school I spend most of my time at the university. So far at UWM I have joined two organizations, the Student Association and the American Marketing Association (AMA). Like in high school I wanted to join many different clubs and organizations but realized quickly that college takes up a lot of time and being involved in two organizations was enough. That way I can dedicate more time towards them. Student Association has taught me how the student government at UWM works and how to be a leader. AMA has introduced me to some AMAzing and very special people and has given me some wonderful opportunities including being a part the AMA National Collegiate Conference in New Orleans coming up this March 2017. The friends I have made and the awesome learning opportunities I've had, have been very incredible. I would definitely recommend anyone going into college to join a club/organization, because you will make some awesome friends and learn a lot along the way. I am excited to see what the next few years brings me and what opportunities will arise. I have learned a lot this past semester and am looking forward to learning and making some awesome memories next semester.
