Harry Potter DIY Mugs

These Harry Potter DIY Mugs were made using oil-based sharpie markers. I bought these mugs for really cheap on Amazon, but you can also get them and the markers from any craft store.

Before drawing with the markers, I sketched out my designs with a pencil. After I was happy with my designs, I went ahead and used the markers to draw and color my pieces in. Lastly, I baked these mugs in the oven at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. Once you let them cool they are safe for every day use. I personally hand wash these mugs because the design will eventually start to chip if put in the dishwasher too many times.

Have fun and be creative!

What You Need:

Oil-Base Markers
Mugs (ceramic works really well)
Time
Pencil
Designs (Either your own or just look some up for inspiration!)

Dermalogica Clear Start Kit Review

A couple months ago I bought the Dermalogica Clear Start Kit for Teen acne from Ulta for about $38. I have been troubled with acne for the past few years and I wanted to do something about it fast. Before I buy anything I read reviews and other blog posts about the product. Most reviews were explaining how the Clear Start Kit did wonders and deals really well with all sorts of skin. I finally decided to buy it in stores and even the Dermalogica consultants said it was really good. The kit comes with a foaming face cleanser, a day and night treatment, a matte moisturizer, an all over toner and a face mask. I tried the Kit at night right before bed and everything seemed to work out fine until I used the toner. My face started heating up right away, I just thought it was because of some chemicals that are in every toner and didn't think too much of it. Afterwards I used the overnight treatment and the moisturizer. The next morning I noticed my face was itchy and also very red. My cheeks felt really rough and that's when I knew something was wrong. I returned the product right away. I had to use a steroid cream to get rid of the reaction which lasted about a week. I'm pretty sure the toner was making my skin react this way. Dermalogica has a lot of chemicals in their products that are not good for every day use. I have very oily skin which is not usually sensitive to different products. My skin has only ever reacted this way to one other product. Make sure to always test a product on a small patch of skin before using it all over the face or body to see if your skin reacts. Unfortunately, I learned that the hard way.

Sigma F80 Brush Review

Many youtubers and other bloggers have been talking about and using the Sigma F80 Brush, so I decided to give it a try. This item costs about $25 and works wonders. Before this brush, I used my hands to put on foundation and occasionally used a beauty blender. I always thought that with a brush all my foundation would just stick to the brush and product would be wasted. However, this was not the case with the Sigma brush. It blended the foundation so so well it looked like I had no foundation on at all!! I was so happy with this brush I use it every time I wear foundation. It works great with liquid and powder foundation and also blends concealer very well. Overall, this brush works wonders and will leave you face looking airbrushed and flawless. The box came with the Sigma F80 Brush and two eyebrow highlights. I left a link below if interested in buying.

L'Oreal 24 hr. Infallible Eye Shadow Review

I wanted to try some new shadows just for a little change so I went to Target and bought three L’Oreal 24 Hr. Infallible Eye Shadows. They range from about $6.30- $7.00, and if you buy three you get a $5 gift card. Therefore, I bought three colors that seemed to really go together so I could create a formal/casual look with them.

I bought the colors Bottomless Java, Always Pearly Pink and Endless Pearl. The first two are shimmery shadows and the last one is a matte base color. Always Pearly Pink is a very pretty rose gold pink, Bottomless Java is a rich coffee color and Endless Pearl is a creamy white which looks a lot like Mac’s Painterly Paint Pot. They are very creamy so they work better if you use your fingers to apply them. They blend very well because they are so soft and they are easy to work with. The pigments are equal to Mac or other high end shadows and are very rich in color. They are so concentrated that I was blown away

Here I have done a simple look with all three colors where as my base I used Endless Pearl and put some in the corner of my eye. In the crease I blended in Bottomless Java which came out great, however, you should only use a little unless you like a really dark smokey eye look. On top I used the pink color and blended really well with a crease brush. To complete the look I put on some Rimmel London liquid liner, Mac Kohl eyeliner and some Bare Essentials mascara.

All Fun and Games

Confession, I'm sort of addicted to my phone.... Scratch that, I AM addicted to my phone. It came to mind that there are sooo many different kinds of apps. However, some apps cost a lot of money and personally I don't like to risk my money on something I've never tried. For today's post I've decided to share with you three awesome FREE apps that won't disappoint.

One of my absolute favorite apps is The Hunt. This is an app where you can post a picture of something you want to find such as clothing or jewelry and the Hunt community helps you look for it. For example if you want to find a dress that you saw someone wearing, you can post a picture and someone will help you find it. Of course, not everything can be found but you do have a better chance of finding what you need or want.

Another favorite is the app Wanelo which is a shopping app. You can search for whatever you want and the app will either find it exactly or something similar. Here I searched for The Fault in our Stars and it found many different things such as phone cases, sweaters, t-shirts, shoes etc. It's also very helpful because you can buy right off the app.

Now my third favorite is a game, because who doesn't like to have fun? This game is called Cut The Rope which is a cheeky little game that has a cute little frog that you have to feed with candy. The only way he can get the candy is if you figure out a way to cut the rope exactly to where it lands in his mouth. This may seem easy but trust me it's not. The further you get the more complex the game becomes. In some you even pop bubbles and have to attach the candy to a rope. I don't want to spoil it for you but I can guarantee you will enjoy it. Besides wouldn't you want to feed the cute little frog?
