Many youtubers and other bloggers have been talking about and using the Sigma F80 Brush, so I decided to give it a try. This item costs about $25 and works wonders. Before this brush, I used my hands to put on foundation and occasionally used a beauty blender. I always thought that with a brush all my foundation would just stick to the brush and product would be wasted. However, this was not the case with the Sigma brush. It blended the foundation so so well it looked like I had no foundation on at all!! I was so happy with this brush I use it every time I wear foundation. It works great with liquid and powder foundation and also blends concealer very well. Overall, this brush works wonders and will leave you face looking airbrushed and flawless. The box came with the Sigma F80 Brush and two eyebrow highlights. I left a link below if interested in buying.
I wanted to try some new shadows just for a little change so I went
to Target and bought three L’Oreal 24 Hr. Infallible Eye Shadows. They range
from about $6.30- $7.00, and if you buy three you get a $5 gift card. Therefore,
I bought three colors that seemed to really go together so I could create a formal/casual look with them.
I bought the colors Bottomless Java, Always Pearly Pink and Endless Pearl. The first two are shimmery shadows and the last one is a matte base color. Always Pearly Pink is a very pretty rose gold pink, Bottomless Java is a rich coffee color and Endless Pearl is a creamy white which looks a lot like Mac’s Painterly Paint Pot. They are very creamy so they work better if you use your fingers to apply them. They blend very well because they are so soft and they are easy to work with. The pigments are equal to Mac or other high end shadows and are very rich in color. They are so concentrated that I was blown away
Here I have done a simple look
with all three colors where as my base I used Endless Pearl and put some in the
corner of my eye. In the crease I blended in Bottomless Java which came out great, however,
you should only use a little unless you like a really dark smokey eye look. On top I used the pink color and blended really well with a crease brush. To complete
the look I put on some Rimmel London liquid liner, Mac Kohl eyeliner and some Bare
Essentials mascara.
Confession, I'msortof addicted to my phone.... Scratch
that, I AM addicted to my phone. It came to mind that
there are sooo many different kinds of apps. However, some apps cost a lot of
money and personally I don't like to risk my money on something I've never
tried. For today's post I've decided to share with you three awesome FREE apps
that won't disappoint.
One of my absolute favorite apps is The Hunt. This is an app where
you can post a picture of something you want to find such as clothing or
jewelry and the Hunt community helps you look for it. For example if you want
to find a dress that you saw someone wearing, you can post a picture and
someone will help you find it. Of course, not everything can be found but you do
have a better chance of finding what you need or want.
Another favorite is the app Wanelo which is a shopping app. You
can search for whatever you want and the app will either find it exactly or
something similar. Here I searched for The Fault in our Stars and it found many
different things such as phone cases, sweaters, t-shirts, shoes etc. It's
also very helpful because you can buy right off the app.
Now my third favorite is a game, because who doesn't like to have
fun? This game is called Cut The Rope which is a cheeky little game that has a
cute little frog that you have to feed with candy. The only way he can get the
candy is if you figure out a way to cut the rope exactly to where it lands in
his mouth. This may seem easy but trust me it's not. The further you get the
more complex the game becomes. In some you even pop bubbles and have to attach the candy to a rope. I don't want to spoil it for you but I can guarantee you will enjoy
it. Besides wouldn't you want to feed the cute little frog?
During the summer I tend to turn a
very unnatural looking color when I get tan and honestly,
I don't like it. However, I have found a mask that has changed my skin for
the better. The mask uses turmeric powder which was used a lot in ancient China
and India for it's many benefits. Turmeric is an antioxidant and also has
anti-inflammatory properties that help the inside of the body and out. The
recipe I will be giving today is enough for your face and your arms.
You are going to need
⦁2 1/2 tablespoons of
flour
⦁2-3 teaspoons of
turmeric powder
⦁2-4 cups of plain
yogurt (eyeball it)
⦁Few drops of lemon
Whilst mixing, the mask will be very thick.
Apply the mask onto your face and arms (or wherever you want to brighten up
your skin). When applying make sure you get every bit of skin because if you
don't your skin will be darker in those areas. When you finish applying let it
dry until it hardens and you cannot move your face. Now you have to wash it
off, (I don't recommend peeling it off because it may irritate the skin.) When
washing rub the areas in circles, this will make it easier to come off. Once
all of the mask is off you should have brighter looking skin that is clean and
healthy.
Being healthy is something lots of
people struggle with. Unfortunately, we are surrounded by calorie filled foods
and many fast food restaurants. If you are hungry, you can easily go to your
local McDonalds or Taco Bell and get a something super quick. Fast food is
super convenient and cooking food seems to take a lot longer. That’s why many
of us struggle from staying away. I struggle from staying away from all junk
food including candy, chips, and really sugary drinks. However, I found a very
healthy and easy way to keep my stomach filled so I don’t eat extra foods. I
will be sharing some of my recipes with you today.
I
have been drinking lots of smoothies recently and I’ve found that they are very
filling, I drink them at lunch time and they keep me full till about dinner. First,
I get my frozen fruit, usually a mix of berries such as raspberries, strawberries,
blackberries and blueberries J. I put about 1 ½ cups of
the fruit. After the frozen fruit I like to add 1 banana, which has lots of healthy benefits and adds flavor. Next,
I add about 2 cups of almond milk that usually has a vanilla flavor. (If this
is too much milk for you go ahead and lessen it.) I personally like Silk milk because
it adds the taste of vanilla that replaces vanilla ice cream which makes the
smoothie really creamy. You can add any other fruit if you want but I stop here
and instead of more fruit I add one tablespoon of Chia seeds. Chia seeds
are super healthy for you as well and you don’t even taste them. After all your
ingredients are in, BLEND BLEND BLEND!!!! If you feel that your smoothie is not
as sweet as you would like it to be try adding a little bit more almond milk,
if not you’re DONE! This yummy smoothie should fill you up for most of your
day.
Another yummy drink I like to keep with
me is a simple detox drink. I’ll be sharing with you one of my favorite recipes
that is very rejuvenating. Take about 10
raspberries and 3-4 strawberries and
put them in a cup of your choice. Then, combine water and ice (about 3/4th of the glass full).
Stir and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
Adding lemon and mint is optional but I put 1 slice of lemon and a few
mint leaves. Lemon and mint are very good for you, Mint suppresses your
appetite in a natural way. This recipe is great for those trying to lose weight
and I can tell you from personal experience that it does help!
Both these recipes are great ways to lose
weight. And if you’re not looking to lose weight it’s still a healthy way of “eating”.
So next time you get hungry, make one of these great drinks that will keep you healthy
and full! ENJOY!
Let's all agree that your
eyebrows are one of your most important features on your face. A bad brow shape
can change the look of your face completely. They can make your eyes look droopy
or even change the shape of your entire face. On the other hand the perfect
brow can open up your eyes and give your face a simple and clean look.
To start
off make sure your eyebrows are clean. Sometimes it is helpful to mark the
hairs you want to remove with a white pencil or a little bit of concealer. Pluck or thread the eyebrows that are below
the line you created. Also, make sure you remove the hairs in the direction of
the hair growth because it will be less painful and you won't have any ingrowns.
I personally wouldn't recommend waxing your eyebrows because the skin around your
eyes is very sensitive. Now once all your eyebrows are all cleaned up, sharpen
an eyebrow pencil and draw in any open spaces with short strokes that would
mimic hair. Don't forget!!!! You are not
coloring in your eyebrows you are simply adding a few extra "hairs"
with some color.
If you want a more natural look, don't fill in the beginning
of your eyebrows too harshly because they are naturally very sparse. Remember,
your eyebrow shape depends on what you like and what you think looks good on
your face. Try out different shapes and see which ones fit best. Eyebrow
pencils were made not only to fill in your eyebrows but also to change them
without taking out any hairs. I hope you found my first post very helpful
and I'll be sure to write more soon!
